A dynamic triple threat who began performing at the age of four. Born in Vernon, British Columbia, Canada, Julia now divides her time between Vancouver, Los Angeles, and New York City.
Julia began her dance training in ballet (Royal Academy of Dance), later adding competitive jazz, highland, and contemporary.
Julia was involved heavily in the drama department of her high school as well as in the community, and appeared in principal roles of regional performances of West Side Story, The Nutcracker, and In the Heights (Arts Club, Vancouver).
Upon high school graduation, Julia travelled to Osaka, Japan to further her studies in ballet and choreography. It was during this time, that she was offered dancer positions on both Disney and Carnival Cruise Lines. After finishing her contract at sea, Julia pursued her post secondary education at Ryerson University and The University of Calgary. Julia’s love for travel also allowed her to train extensively in Beijing, New York, Los Angeles, Jackson, Mississippi, and Toronto.
Always yearning to try new things, Julia ventured into the world of ballroom dance, and has since been an avid competitor in the International Latin Championship level circuit both in Canada and the United States. “Ballroom has taught me a deeper understanding of the connection between two individuals. The synchronization of body rhythms and the reliance of a balanced connection is something artists of all dance styles can benefit from.”
It wasn’t long before the television and film industry started calling her name. Always the saleswoman, Julia started booking national commercial principal actor and dancer spots for Glade, Hershey’s, Scotiabank, Lexus, Nikon, Party City, Del Taco, and Time Warner Cable. Through these opportunities, Julia discovered a love for being in front of the camera, and began booking principal and supporting roles in the television series, Power(Starz), Supergirl(CW), Tommy(CBS), Once Upon A Time(ABC), Psych(USA), and Minority Report(FOX). Julia also delved into the independent film industry, booking her favourite role to date, the lead in the directorial musical debut of Jesse L. Martin, and Rick Cosnett’s, The Letter Carrier.
Despite the Covid19 shutdown of 2020-2021, Julia is beyond grateful to have continued working, in both the USA and Canadian entertainment markets. Bookings have included a dancer role on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon,  a supporting principal role in Hallmark Channel’s Christmas Waltz, co-starring roles in The Other Two(Comedy Central), The Flight Attendant (HBOMax), The Crew (NETFLIX), Billions(Showtime), FBI(CBS), as well as an out of town tryout for the upcoming Broadway show "The Right Girl," directed and choreographed by Susan Stroman, and the developmental lab "NY, NY."
